Heart of Stone is yet to find its way into our hearts, but a sequel may not be too far off the charts. Netflix appears to be intent on kicking off a new franchise with Heart of Stone, and it seems we may have the very first tidbits about a sequel to the to-be-franchise. In a cast interview with Collider, Gal Gadot revealed after much hesitation that Heart of Stone 2 has been scripted. Not just that, she’s read the script and seems excited about the prospect of it happening.
We’re all talking about it. I’ve already … I don’t know if I can say anything. I’ve already read the second script. And we’re all very excited about it.
With Netflix, it’s hard to determine what factors into the streaming platform greenlighting a sequel, since box office is out of the picture. At this point though, it seems Netflix is intent on creating a library of original franchises, seeing as it has already greenlit sequels to Red Notice and Extraction II. So reviews aside, if the movie receives a decent view count, a sequel wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility.
