Paramount releases posters for all major and supporting characters for the Christopher McQuarrie directed Mission Impossible

Character Posters for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One

Paramount Pictures has released the character posters for all characters in the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. All major and supporting characters receive their own poster, including some that haven’t been featured as prominently in the trailers. Moreover, each poster was accompanied with the character’s name, giving us the names of several characters that remained unnamed thus far.

First off, here’s a gallery showcasing all the character posters. You can also check out the source link for the individual tweets. Click on the individual character posters to expand them.

The posters do a decent job of maintaining the franchise’s action-movie genre, with pretty much all characters being captured in action or motion. The trademark fuse lights up the vertical Mission: Impossible logo, with the fuse gradually morphing into something resembling a high-speed train. That’s no coincidence, seeing as an extended action sequence set onboard a train is a vital set-piece in the film. On the bottom-right of each poster, we can see the formats the movie will be available in: Dolby, IMAX as well as Large Format, which may be referring to IMAX 70mm theaters. Sadly, it won’t play there for long due to those screens being booked for movies releasing a week later.

Next, we have some character names. The names for characters played by Hayley Atwell and Esai Morales were already revealed during interviews as Grace and Gabriel respectively. Pom Klementieff’s character is named Paris. Members of the mysterious organization named The Community, played by Greg Tarzan Davis and Shea Whigham, are named Degas and Briggs respectively. Finally, we have two new names: Mariela Garriga plays Marie and Cary Elwes plays Denlinger.

Together, they join a long list of recurring characters reprising their roles, starting with Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Vanessa Kirby as The White Widow and Henry Czerny as Kittridge. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie from a script he co-wrote with Erik Jendresen, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One releases in theaters on July 12, 2023.
